Okay. So this will be pretty rant like. But even if you don't want to read it all, could you please just post something to make me feel a little better? Something along the lines of "The world still loves you!" (xD) would even make me feel better xP
I'm only posting this for two reasons really.
1. This forum needs more posts in general :/
2. I need to vent. I have no where else to go. This is the only place I know that none of my real life friends can see.
If you do take the time to read this through, thank you so much! I really need some advice now...
So leave now if you don't want to hear about me and my problems!
~~~~~
So Ihave had 2 best friends. One that I've been friends with for 2-3 years now, and one for 5-6. So they'll need names for this story to make sense, but I'd never say their real names on the Internet, especially since one of them is extremely against that. So the friend that I've known for 3 years will go by Melissa and the other one will go by Amelia.
Over the summer, Amelia went to her Dad's house. She never told me when she's got back, so I assumed she'd call me when she did. She wasn't allowed on the computer much, so I never got to talk to her on facebook or MSN really.The summer past, and I never spoke to her at all.
Melissa went to California, but we kept in touch, posting on each other's walls on facebook every day.
A few days before it was time to go back to school, Melissa was back home, and we were walking her dogs together. She said that she tried calling Amelia but this is how the convo went:
"Hi! Do you want to walk to school with me?"
"Sorry, my mom is driving me."
"Oh, okay."
"Kay, bye!"
Melissa was planning on having a real conversation with her, but she just hung up on her.
So on the first day of school, we thought she'd have to talk to us, since she was in our class. But when she walked in with my friend (let's call her Emma?), she just ignored us. Emma was like, "ANGELA!" (which is my name, lol), but Amelia just said (to Emma), "Where do you want to sit?" and then they walked away... Melissa tried saying hi, but Amelia ignored her. The only thing she said to me was "Excuse me" when I was in her way.
In class, our English teacher was talking about how sometimes in life there are people who drag you down. Me and Melissa were sitting together, so Amelia just glared at us when the teacher said that. We both saw, and we got pretty mad that she wouldn't tell us why she was angry at us.
On the second day of school, I asked my friend (...Running out of fake names xP Let's call him Aaron?) if she was talking to him. He said yes, so I asked if she mentioned why she was mad at us. He said it was because we never called her over the summer. I was really mad about that, what a stupid reason to be mad at us! But at least I knew why she was mad.
Today, 2 days after school started, I saw her facebook on my friend's (Sapphire? :b) phone. She had a quote that was something like "If life wants you to make lemonade, where do you get the sugar?" and her mother had commented something along the lines of "It's better if you only have one friend than have friends who don't care about you." As soon as I got home, I checked my facebook so I could copy and paste it onto here, but she had deleted me as a friend.
So, here's where the ranting starts. Firstly, Melissa had a perfectly valid reason for not calling. She was in California for most of the summer, and frankly, it'd be a waste of money to call long distance. I don't have such a great reason though. She had told me that she was going to her dad's house but she didn't say when she got back, so I assumed she'd call me when she got back. Because what, was I supposed to randomly call her house to find out if she was home? Also, I don't call people unless I absolutely have to. Not even family. The only people I called this summer were Melissa because Aaron had asked me to because he didn't have her phone number, and a few family members.
And then, the first thought that went through my mind when I found out why she was mad: "WTF, SHE DIDN'T CALL US EITHER! AND WE'RE NOT MAD AT HER!" And it's totally true. And she knows I never call anyone. We used to talk on the phone everyday, but she would always always always call me. I never called her.
Her mom doesn't like me. She was so nice, and she used to really like me. But now she doesn't, because Amelia just pretty much over reacted. And seeing that she'd deleted me as a friend got me so mad. I know it's just facebook, but being such a geek, it meant a lot to me. There are people on her friends list that she hardly even knows, but she deleted me. She took the time to delete me from Facebook. Which is just like wow, because she doesn't care much about electronics, so I would have figured that it didn't matter to her.
So now I'm mad at her. She always over reacted over these little things. She got mad because she was the only one in our little group of friends that wasn't Asian and she felt like she wasn't being included. I mean... It's not my fault I'm Asian! Also, a few years ago, I used to go on forums called the Sunshineneo forums, and I had a diary on there where I would rant about her a lot. One thing I remember so clearly is that one girl, Anuva, told me that she didn't sound like a good friend. So I need a lot of advice... Should me and Melissa talk to her, or should we just not be friends anymore?
~~~~~
Another thing. Remember that friend I mentioned up there? Sapphire? We've been friends for about 9 years, and I'd say that we're best friends too. I never really noticed before, but she's mean to me. Not to sound childish or anything, but she is. She doesn't realize it though. Her mom spoils her so much, so she always thinks she deserves to get everything she wants. I really try not to brag about anything, but I'd like to say that I'm generous, so I almost always give people what they want. A bad mix already, eh? Soo, because of this, she took things from me a lot. Not physical things, but small things like she would always get to do something before me, or if we got prizes or something, she'd get to choose first. Small things that I never noticed, and things she thought were normal.
But today, something kind of snapped. Things that happened before were usually forgotten after a few hours, but this one I can still remember pretty clearly.
We were playing CoD, she she wanted to play online. Here's how the went conversation:
1 "Let's play online!"
"But online is only one player..."
2 "So? We can take turns."
"But whenever we do that, you take the controller from me in the middle of my turn because I'm 'failing'!"
3 "That's because you are failing!"
"So? It's not my fault I'm not good at this game!"
4 "You could practice more!"
"I usually don't even have the PS3!"
5 "Yeah you do!"
1 Okay, nothing wrong with that...
2 Good suggestion. Unfortunatly, like I mentioned above, she likes taking my turns.
3 See? She thinks it's totally fine to take my turn if I'm not doing good enough!
4 Maybe I could practice if you let me play, eh?!
5. Who is she to tell me if I have a PS3 or not? It's my brother's PS3, so it's usually in his room. Meaning I can't play whenever I can. She's a spoiled only child, so maybe she doesn't even understand that I shouldn't randomly go into his room -_-
It wasn't even an argument. She said everything so matter of factly like I was stupid for now realizing that if someone wasn't good at a game, they shouldn't be able to play.
I just remembered something from when we were kids. Whenever I went to her house, she wouldn't let me choose what I wanted to do because "it's my house so I get to choose". Whenever she came to my house, she'd say "I'm the guest! I should choose!". What a meanie, right? Just wanted to say an example of how she always got her way...
Anyone know what I should do to deal with this? Don't really need any advice really, just needed to vent :/
Zoh my God, thanks so much if you actually read ALL of this!
