----> Fuyou. Michiko "Michi-chan"
Nine, Female
[/b][/font]Nine, Female
-->Appearance and Physical Attributes:
A nine year old of a stocky build, Michiko stands at 4'5 and weighs 68 pounds with short limbs. Overall, this girl is built for strength and endurance rather than speed or agility. Her thin, dark hair is cut into a bob, trimmed to slip just along her jaw-line while the bangs slide smoothly across her forehead. The child's face is square-shaped -strong and angular- and set with wide, round teal eyes, a sharp nose, and heart-shaped lips of soft-pink. Her golden-beige skin is marred with a few scars and bruises, results of childplay and roughhousing.
Michiko's clothing consists of pretty dresses that she wouldn't be caught dead in, her school uniform, and several mixed and matched pieces of ensembles her mother has put together for her. Generally, when she isn't in her school uniform, she's prancing around in a blue-jean jacket, a t-shirt of any given color, jeans, and brown boots. A simple hair-band often decorates her crown of hair, keeping back annoying, rebellious strands or outgrown bangs.
-->Personality:
Michiko isn't a live-wire, per se. She's nine-years-old, a kid. She's got energy that any child possesses at this age. She's a happy sort that likes to take matters into her own hands, beating up on bullies at the school yard or trying to pack her own lunch. She wants to be grown-up and tries to act as such, mimicking mannerisms she sees in adults. She's neither shy nor quiet, but she also doesn't speak unless she feels that the conversation warrants a word from her.
Michiko is a big eater, liking anything that contains meat, and does not tolerate vegetables and fruits. She'd just as soon hide them in various nooks and crannies than eat them, but Mom and Dad -being Mom and Dad- are very well aware of their picky daughter's habits and keep a special eye on her when greens are on the menu. A growing girl needs her veggies after all.
-->Strength(s):
-Her obedience towards adults. 'Course, this doesn't apply when there are bullies involved.
-A strong sense of justice. Couple this with her desire to be independent and you've got quite a would-be vigilante on your hands.
- She has a grasp on self-defense, taught to her by her mother Tomoko.
-Not afraid of bugs and other creepy-crawlies! Yeah! She actually likes ghost stories, too, but that doesn’t mean she's not going to be cowering under her covers later that night.
-->Fear(s):
-Strangers
-Mad Mom and Dad
-Getting lost
-Tall buildings and heights
-Pain and sick people.
-Disasters like car crashes, fires, and earthquakes. Earthquakes are the worst for Michiko.
-->History:
Fuyou Kouta met Nakamura Tomoko while working in the Tokyo Police Force. Tomoko had been working there for quite some time, both on and off the field, and welcomed Kouta and the other new recruits with nothing more than a nod and a "welcome to the team". Obviously, it wasn't exactly love at first sight. Both were too attached to their careers to bother with dating and romance. After some years, however, an attraction bloomed, and the pair decided to give it go.
Four years of courtship -with its ups-and-downs- flourished into an engagement and ,eventually, a prosperous marriage. The fact that they worked together only reinforced the relationship; however, Kouta couldn't deny that feeling of fear he shouldered knowing that his wife was often put on patrol. He, of course, feared for her life, despite knowing that she was more than capable of handling things, had been handling things since before they'd even met. Still, though, he never attempted to convince her to retire to simple deskwork. He didn't have the heart.
Two years into the marriage, Kouta and Tomoko conceived their first child, and upon discovering her pregnancy, Tomoko withdrew to office work, much to Kouta's silent relief. As their child's birth day drew closer, a consensus agreement decided that Tomoko would retire from the force in order to care for their baby. Tomoko would never lie to herself; she'd miss her work, but she also didn't want to miss the priceless days she'd have with her kid.
Then the day of birth came along. A girl. They named her Michiko and held her close to their hearts. Their little Michi-chan.
As the child grew, she'd watch things, all things, curiosity a tiny, budding thing nestled within her chest. She watched her mother and learned from her, understanding how to clean floors and dust shelves and how slicing a sandwich diagonally instead of horizontally made it taste so much better. Tomoko used her pent-up energy to teach her daughter self-defense, just in case she ever needed it. Kouta would come home after so many hours, would eat, read a book to his girl, and then sleep. They both tried -Mom and Dad- to make an impact on their child, to imprint within her a sense of family and a sense of together, that she'd always have them if nothing else.
