Name: Akemi Kujaku (Bright Peacock) Age: 19
Appearance:
Akemi is your stereotypical blonde beauty. She stands at six feet one inch tall and has a perfect hourglass figure and toned arms and legs. Her skin is lightly tanned and unblemished. She has large turquoise eyes that are said to take on more of a green tinge when she gets angry or jealous, and her eyes are framed with thick eyelashes. Her hair is a pale blonde that falls to her mid-back and is completely straight, and has four streaks in it, two of which are turquoise and two that are bright pink in colour.
Fashion:
Although she rarely leaves the ship, Akemi always takes the time to look as tantalizing as possible. She's always brushing and styling her hair, implementing some beauty regimens from Earth (facial masks and things), and pampering herself. She enjoys teasing the male aliens on board the ship, and her wardrobe reflects this as her outfits are usually either tight-fitting, revealing, or both. She wears any colour under the sun, preferring blues, pinks, and greens, and usually wears at least some black. She also likes wearing jewelry, most of which has been stolen from Earth. Her training outfit usually consists of a pair of black spandex short shorts or yoga pants and a blue sports bra.
Personality:
Akemi's most dominant personality trait is her arrogance. Her vanity knows no bounds, and she would be content to spend all of her time looking at herself, or talking about herself. Her arrogance makes her fierce in battle, as she is determined to come out looking better than everyone else, allies and foes alike. Though Akemi appears to be the stereotypical dumb blonde, there is more to her than meets the eye. While not intelligent in terms of knowledge or strategy, she is very smart when it comes to people, and understands them more than she lets on. Akemi spends most of her time on board the ship with her best friend (if Dark Mews have such a thing) Koumi, goofing off and yelling at the others. She is quick to anger and can hold a grudge, and often prefers to take an insult and plot revenge rather than lashing out immediately.
Facts/Quirks:
1. Akemi feels like a freak because she is a Dark Mew, but keeps this information private.
2. Akemi wants to defeat the new Mews so that she will gain respect from others, and so she'll be viewed as more than just a pretty face.
3. Akemi's only loyalty to the Metallic Rainbow is to Koumi and to Silver to an extent. She doesn't believe in their "cause," and merely wants to be on the winning side.
4. Akemi is afraid of thunderstorms.
5. Akemi wrestles with her Mewdentity, as she is actually afraid of birds.
6. Akemi's goal is to defeat the new Mews and take over Earth, and ending up with "Silver-kun," ensuring her a top spot in the new world order.
7. Akemi shares a room with Koumi in the Dark Mew area of the ship, at the end of the hall to separate them from the other "heathen Mews".
8. Akemi's favourite Earth food is fruit smoothies and frozen yogurt.
9. Akemi doesn't want to change anything about her appearance, but is annoyed at times that people assume she is stupid because of her appearance.
10. Akemi wishes she was more intelligent, so that maybe Silver will show some interest in her.
Work:
Akemi shows the members of the Metallic Rainbow the proper amount of respect when she's in their presence (some more so than others *cough*Silver*cough*), mocking respect to Akane, and indifference to the other Dark Mews. She trains when ordered to, and tries hard, but doesn't put any more time into it than necessary.
History:
Prior to becoming a Dark Mew, Akemi was the youngest of three children in a fairly poor family just outside of Tokyo. Her parents always found her to be a burden, as both of her older brothers were successful, and despite trying as hard as she could, she struggled in school. Eventually Akemi's parents forced her to leave, and she became a beggar. This lifestyle didn't last very long though, because less than a month into her life of homelessness she was attacked, but was saved by Silver, who sent the group running with an attack. He took the unconscious girl back to the ship and left her to Copper to see what could be done for her. Along with Koumi, she became one of the first Dark Mews. Upon awakening, Akemi felt nothing but betrayal and disgust for the people of Earth until her first transformation into Dark Mew Bubbegum. Akemi is terrified of birds and is struggling to come to terms with her Mewdentity. After the first night, Akemi felt that her beauty had been a weakness, and had been responsible for the incident, and since then has been determined to use her beauty to her advantage. She is more aware of how she comes off to others, and will seduce others to get what she wants as easily as she lets her beauty blind others to give her the element of surprise. Despite this tactic, Akemi wants to accomplish things and gain respect so that she can be known for more than her beauty. It is a delicate balance that she strives for, but Akemi is determined to accomplish it.

Dark Mew Bubblegum DNA: Green Peahen
Appearance:
Akemi's hair becomes a lighter platinum blonde, grows several inches until it reaches her butt, and loses its pink streaks, leaving only two blue ones framing her face. Her eyes stay the same shade of turquoise. She grows the beautifully coloured tailfeathers of a peahen, which, with effort, can be used to help her hover several feet in the air.
Costume:
Dark Mew Bubblegum wears a bright turquoise mini-dress several shades lighter than her eyes. It stops just past her butt, and is unadorned. She wears heeled boots of a darker blue that come up past her knees, stopping mid thigh, and elbow length blue gloves of the same shade. Her garter, arm bands and choker are turquoise with black trim.
Mew Mark:
A feather on the inside of her left ankle.
Weapon(s):
Bubblegum Mirror: A turquoise hand mirror decorated with blue diamonds and a black bow at the handle.
Attacks:
Fusion Bubblegum Pop! : Sends streams of translucent turquoise bubbles at opponents, either trapping them inside or exploding near them.
Fusion Bubblegum Reflection! : All opponents attacks are drawn towards the reflective surface of the mirror and are then reflected back at her opponents.
Battle Strengths:
Determination: Dark Mew Bubblegum has something to prove, and she is determined to earn the respect of allies and enemies alike. This gives her a fierceness in battle that is quite admirable.
Self-Importance: Dark Mew Bubblegum is afraid of being injured in battle not due to the pain of injury, but because she doesn't want any ugly scars. Call it shallow, but the mere thought of a scratch marring her face helps her evade most attacks
People Skills: In both her Mew form and human form Akemi excels at observing people. This enables her to spot weaknesses in her enemies.
Battle Weaknesses:
Arrogance: Dark Mew Bubblegum often thinks herself capable of dealing with situations that she cannot handle. She overestimates herself, often causing her team to lose the upper hand.
Vanity: Dark Mew Bubblegum loves to listen to herself talk, and will often do a villain monologue if given the opportunity. Additionally, her vanity can distract her in battle, whether she's caught a glimpse of herself in a reflection or whether an enemy insults her appearance.
Lack of Strategy: Dark Mew Bubblegum is people smart, but isn't very smart in other ways, and she often lacks any sort of strategy.
