I miss discussing TMM okay
If you look back at my ancient posts, you can tell I had strong feelings about certain characters and ships as a child. One such example was my intense dislike of Lettuce that I had for no apparent reason, and another was my idolization of Ichigo. I also had some fairly hardcore feelings of... indifference to some characters (Zakuro, Pai, Keiichiro), too.
Has anyone else's preferences shifted? Or have you stuck with your faves throughout the ages?

Interesting... I don't think my ships have really changed much. I still see Lettuce and Ryou as my OTP. I still like Zakuro/Pai (Though I have also noticed some Zakuro/Kisshu recently.) I still don't really like/am indifferent to Ichigo/Ryou mostly because I think Ryou sees Ichigo like a kid sister he's never had and he's just looking out for her. I still ship Pudding/Taruto, though Pudding's future husband was already decided from that one episode, so I dunno how that's going to work out. I'm indifferent/okay with Minto/Zakuro, but I still see them as like a fan-to-idol relationship. I still like Ichigo/Aoyama but I've kind of grown a little indifferent about it I think. Mostly because of how flat their personalities are and it's obvious that Ichigo is going to get with him. They're perfect for each other in that regards pfft. Since I've matured quite a bit since first getting into TMM, I'm not as much a rabid fangirl towards Keii-kun as I used to be. xD I still don't like any ships with him though *blocks him from the other girls* Lettuce/Pai I've grown indifferent to. Ichigo/Kisshu I still am kinda hesitant about. One crack pairing I do see is Minto/Pai. I mean, she's rich, he has the brains. They would make a formidable couple xD Ohhh God I feel like I'm missing some ships. But that's all I got at the moment.
As for characters, I still like Lettuce, she's still relatable to me. I've grown to like Zakuro as the series goes on. I think Pudding's okay, but her hyperness gets unsettling at times (lol I'm getting old). Ichigo I don't really like and find annoying at times with her obsession over Aoyama. Minto I'm still kinda 'Meh' about. Surprisingly though, during one of the few instances of re-watching TMM, I had a slight love triangle going on for Keiichiro and Pai (obvious to who won out at the end). So, yeah...not a lot's changed, but a few things have changed I think.

I remember how my friends were all anti-Lettuce 8 years ago or whenever it was that they all were into TMM. xD That always bothered me because I related to her.
Hmm... I'm not as passionate about my TMM ships as I used to be, but I generally still ship the same couples. I guess other ships just fire me up more. I never really watched TMM for the ships, though; some shows I watch basically revolve around the ships. xD
I have always had a bit of a love/hate relationship with Mint. Sometimes I adore her, sometimes I can't stand her behavior. I will never be able to ship Ichigo/Kisshu. I apologize to the fans of that pairing, but I just can't do it. I guess my favorite Ichigo ship is Ichigo/Masaya because they were, as Wes-chan kind of said, made for each other. xD I used to be pretty hardcore Lettuce/Ryou. I'm indifferent now. Maybe that's my younger Ryou fangirl speaking (not that I find him unattractive now by any means, but I have new husbands named Makoto Tachibana and Chrom. :'D) I could ship Zakuro/Pai, Zakuro/Ryou, or Lettuce/Pai. I don't have any strong feelings towards them and I could see them happening, I guess. Pudding/Taruto is my one real ship, I guess. xD I don't care about the fact that they're like, 10. They're cute. xDD I find Ichigo adorable. She has tendency to be annoying and mary-sue-ish, but I still think she's adorable.

This'll be the most boring post of this thread.
I rarely ever got to watch Mew Mew Power. It came on at 7am on Saturdays, and there was nooo way I was going to be able drag myself out of bed that early in the morning on a weekend. XD
I've read the manga, though. I don't remember any of the characters sticking out to me, in neither a negative nor a positive manner. My love for TMM is admittedly superficial. I dig the character designs, and the plot is fun, but I've never had a favorite character out of the bunch, and I've never really been into shipping. XD So much for dedication, huh?

They would make a formidable couple xD I'm still in the midst of rewatching the show (slowly, since I've been busy w/ school), so my ships aren't finalized yet, but I have changed some of them. I actually see IchigoxRyou more than I did before (ignoring the fact that she's like... 12 and him 16), I'm still a PuddingxTart fan (I do wonder how it'll work out with the whole arranged marriage thing), I'm def a bigger fan of MintxZakuro now that I'm not the homophobic little child I was, and I've always been 'eh' with IchigoxAoyama so I'm not sure if that'll change anytime soon. *Stops to fondly recall a time when we called you Wes-chan* I still don't see any ships for Keii as well, but for different reasons ahaha. LettucexPai I was indifferent to, but I haven't quite reached that point in the series to make a final judgement on that. IchigoxKisshu (Used to be called Kiichigo if I remember correctly!) will always remain my guilty pleasure ship. Like I know it would never would out, but it's fun to imagine the what-ifs. And it's hot af. MintxPai? Somehow... I see it omg. I remember how my friends were all anti-Lettuce 8 years ago or whenever it was that they all were into TMM. xD That always bothered me because I related to her. Minto I'm still kinda 'Meh' about. I never liked Lettuce (I don't know why!), but now I see that she shares many of the same qualities as Ichigo (she's just not as extroverted as Ichi). I was indifferent to Zakuro, but I realize now that she's a pretty bad ass character. Pudding is cute, but a tad annoying as most kids are. Minto... Idek, we'll see. I find Ichigo adorable. She has tendency to be annoying and mary-sue-ish, but I still think she's adorable. She'll always be my favorite tbh. I just have such a soft spot for typical shoujo protagonists ahahaha. I only watched MMP because I would wake up too early for Winx Club (it was the time slot after MMP and I was afraid I was going to over sleep ahaha. It was my favorite show for years!). I never even actually really liked MMP until right before/after it went off air, though. I don't think I ever read through the whole manga tbh. I read most of it because it's at my town library, but somehow I never finished the last 2-3 volumes. I own vol. 1 of A la Mode and I may have read the second one as well but idk |D I found the whole TokyoPop version online recently and I'll be reading through that soon! When I get some money I'll try to buy the series in all its manga forms c: But yeah, not everyone is a super fan and that's okay. I suggest you watch the anime (Japanese with subs because MMP is only a vague trace of the original), though!

They recently released an Omnibus from Kodansha Comics. They're supposed to be improved translations and image resolution from TokyoPop. HikaYagami did a video reviewing the Omnibus and even I have to admit it does look very nice. www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5UiCMLAloQ

That's what I meant about wanting to buy all forms of the manga- Omnibus, Singapore English, TokyoPop, and eventually Japanese (maybe the French one too). In the meantime I'll be relying on whatever scans are available online.

Yay, I'm not the only one with a fondness for typical shoujo heroines. xD
The omnibus editions are rather nice. Ironically, the first Mew Mew manga (actually, the first manga overall) I ever obtained was A La Mode volume 2. It was a gift, and we didn't realize that it was technically the last volume in the series. xD
