So there's this girl, right, and her name's Tooyama Haruka. She's twelve-years-old and has the gift of foresight. At least, a type of foresight. She sees possibilities of the future. Because of this gift, a criminal organization targets her to use for their shady agenda. Haruka manages to escape into the city streets and runs to a blind man for help. Her pursuers are one-by-one taken down by this mystery man, who despite his disability, is a skilled swordsman and martial artist. His glasses act as his "sight", offering him outlines of the buildings and people around him. His name? Hijikata Mamoru. He is a man of a single mind: to hone his skills, and he's willing to work with an underground, anti-crime organization to do just that.
Until Death Do Us Part is a beautifully-drawn manga featuring near non-stop action. It has a huge cast of diverse characters, ranging from the adorable, tech-savvy Igawa, to the sensuous, clever Juliet, to the head-strong Detective Genda. Haruka's an utter doll who gradually transforms from a shaky, intimidated girl to an independent young lady who completely takes the reins to her powers. Despite its intriguing title, it isn't romance, but a fun mix of comedy, action, and drama. The violence, blood, and language should be noted.
You should read it. Totally.
